The water channel normalization on Jalan Warung Jati Timur 3, RT 08/04, Kalibata, Pancoran Sub-district, South Jakarta, is targeted to complete the end of this month.

Pancoran Sub-district's Water Resource Group Head, Burhanudin said the normalization is run by widening the channel to gain the capacity.

He added that the widening is run by installing 40 cm u-ditch along 78 meter.
"The u-ditch is also completed with the cover to maintain the cleanliness," he added.
According to him, the project has been running since early January 2025 by deploying 12 personnel and heavy equipment to speed up the work.
"It is targeted to complete by the end of this month to prevent inundation," he continued.
Meanwhile, one of local residents, Abdul (47) hopes the normalization will give positive impact by preventing inundation in the area.
"Hopefully it will complete on time," he admitted.
